Please read the following carefully before making a booking. By booking a session, you agree to the terms and conditions outlined below.
General Information
- No Experience Required
- Our sessions are designed for beginners and assume no prior knowledge of bees or beekeeping.
- Minimum Participants
- A minimum of two participants is required for sessions to proceed. If fewer than two are booked, we may rearrange or postpone the session.
- Age and Supervision
- Children aged 5–17 years are welcome but must be accompanied by a paying adult parent, guardian, or responsible adult.
- Arrival and Latecomers
- Please arrive 10–15 minutes early. Latecomers may not be permitted to join the session and will not receive a refund, as sessions must start on time.
Health, Safety & Participation
- Risk Acknowledgement
- Beekeeping involves physical activity and interaction with live bees. There is always a risk of bee stings or allergic reactions, even with safety equipment provided.
- Allergy and Medical Disclosure
- You must disclose any known allergies at registration. If you have a bee sting allergy, you must carry an appropriate emergency treatment (e.g. EpiPen) and inform us during registration.
- Physical Fitness
- By booking, you confirm you are physically fit for the session and have not been medically advised against such activity.
- Safety Compliance
- You must follow all safety instructions given by Staincross Apiaries staff at all times. Failure to comply may result in removal from the session without refund.
- Respectful Behaviour
- All participants must treat staff, other guests, bees, and hives with respect. Disruptive or unsafe behaviour may result in your removal from the session.
- Right to Cancel Mid-Session
- The organisers reserve the right to halt or stop a session at any point if health or safety is compromised.
- Protective Clothing
- Protective beekeeping suits are provided, but you must wear suitable clothing (e.g. long sleeves, wellies). Improper attire may prevent participation.
- Emergency Contact
- You must provide a valid emergency contact and confirm you have obtained their consent to share their information in case of an emergency.
- Registration Form
- All participants must complete a registration form at the beginning of the session.
Cancellations, Refunds & Weather
- Weather Conditions
- The British weather can be unpredictable. Sessions may be cancelled or postponed due to poor weather. We’ll provide as much notice as possible.
- Right to Amend or Cancel
- We reserve the right to change, amend, or cancel a session at any time without notice, including for reasons related to weather, bee health, or safety.
- Refund Policy
- Refunds are at the discretion of Staincross Apiaries. Participant cancellations must be made at least 7 days in advance for a full refund.
- Liability
- Staincross Apiaries and its connected persons accept no liability for any loss, injury, or damage to personal property unless caused by proven negligence.
- Additional Costs
- We are not responsible for costs incurred from changes or cancellations, including travel or accommodation expenses.
Booking & Vouchers
- Booking Platform
- All bookings must be made through TicketSource. Alternatively, you may use a valid pre-purchased voucher from our website when booking on TicketSource.
- Gift Vouchers
- Vouchers are non-refundable but can be used to reschedule within their validity period. Please enter your voucher code during booking.
Photography & Data
- Photographs
- We will take photos during sessions to send too you post-experience. Some of these may be used on our website and social media. If you prefer not to be photographed, please let us know on arrival.
- Data Protection
- All personal information is stored and handled in accordance with GDPR and our privacy policy, available upon request or on our website.
